Module for hydraulic separation, heating control, and stored domestic hot water, without primary circulator

The NOVABOX range, model 300, covers the hydraulic functions of:
• Transport of energy from a biomass generator;
• Energy exchange between the generator and the heating circuit;
• Hydraulic separation between the generator and the heating circuit;
• Instantaneous domestic hot water production;
• Accessory functions of the system
The module complies with the requirements outlined in the ISPESL Circular of 18/09/2006.

Description

ISPESL document dated 18/09/2006 regarding thermal plants with two heat generators, one of which fed through solid fuel and the other with a different fuel says that: “In case the primary thermal fluid of two generators goes directly into the thermal tank, the sum of powers has to be considered; hence in case power is above 35 kW, the plant must be included in the M.D. 1/12/1975 and following norm updates. If instead there is a heat exchanger between the two generators, it can be considered as an hydraulic interruption between the two thermal fluids and therefore there is no need to sum the powers”.

The hydraulic separation units NOVABOX mod. 310, thanks to their hydraulic layouts, comply with ISPESL document in addition to managing the heating circuit and a coil for fresh water instant production with tank, have high level performances. The pumps, GRUNDFOS model UPM3 Hybrid, are high efficiency. There is the possibility to have up to 7 meter head pumps and the curves can be set with:

  • Proportional pressure (default)
  • Constant pressure
  • Constant curves

A simple and complete installation is enabled thanks to hydraulic accessories which are supplied as standard:

  • Valves
  • Check valves
  • Air vents
  • Safety valves
  • Temperature sensor

The hydraulic units can be supplied in metal boxes, to be wall-hung or to be built-in, painted.
