HIU – HEAT INTERFACE UNIT

HIUs (Heat Interface Units) are thermohydraulic user satellites that enable the autonomous management of the heating system and the production of domestic hot water for users in centralized heating systems. They are typically installed in residential complexes with multiple units, where it is necessary to utilize the thermal power provided by a common heating plant.

Heating is managed and delivered to individual apartments through a connection between the building’s heating plant and the individual dwellings, each of which is managed separately through the HIU module.

The NOVAHIU V2 module, in addition to being available in different sizes (22 kW and 32 kW), is also available in Basic and Premium versions. In the Premium version (compared to the Basic version), a PV valve is added for controlling the differential pressure on the primary circuit, and a thermostatic valve for controlling the temperature on the heating supply circuit to the apartment.

Description

The NOVAHIU V2 module is a hydraulic user satellite for heating, designed for use in residential complexes with a central heating plant. The modules allow users to connect to and access centralized heating instantly and reliably throughout the day.

Thanks to these modules, the heat transfer fluid is distributed evenly from the building’s central heating plant directly to each individual apartment based on its needs. This ensures the efficient and reliable control of water heating.

The NOVAHIU V2 modules therefore have the following functions:

– Heating zone management; – Domestic hot water storage management; – Provision for billing; – Safety functions.

The module comes standard with a Grundfos UPM3 Hybrid circulator, ErP-Ready.

The NOVAHIU V2 module acts as a bridge between the central heating plant and the individual heating systems of each dwelling. Domestic hot water production (DHW) is not provided, but connections are available for supplying a domestic hot water storage tank.

The plate heat exchanger ensures hydraulic separation between the primary and secondary circuits.
